SMETA – the Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audit – is an audit procedure that brings together good ethical audit practices and local laws as a measurement tool, based on four modules: health and safety; labour standards; environment; business ethics.

By making our SMETA certification publicly available, we promote greater transparency in the audit methodology and share knowledge about auditors’ qualifications and the practices behind SMETA reports.
